The idyllic fishing village Drašnice is directly lying on the coast (ca. 10 km to the south of Makarska) and it belongs to one of the few localities on the slopes of the mountains of Biokovo that aren't crossed by the strongly frequented coastal road. Immediately in front of Drašnice there are the islands Hvar, Brač, Korčula and the peninsula Pelješac and in the north there are the most important towns Makarska, Omiš and Split.
The coast of the Makarska-Riviera is going south and it is widely known for its lonely and miles long shingle beaches and sandy beaches surrounded by pine forests and they belong to the most beautiful areas of the Adriatic Sea. Right here the Dalmatian Sea is glimmering in azure, turquoise and emerald green - and the Adriatic Sea is so clean and clear like nowhere else.
Drašnice is picturesque surrounded by pine forests and olive groves and not only because of its advantaged situation on the roads but also because of its manageable size (ca. 350 inhabitants) Drašnice is perfectly suitable for every holidaymaker who sets no great store by mass tourism.

Holiday flats and apartments for families. For persons of every age looking for rest and recreation. Opened full-year, also for long-time lodger. The apartments partially have balconies and roof terraces with unimpeded visibility to the sea. The visitors can make use of the culinary offer in the stylish furnished Konoba "Šaul" on the ground-floor of the hotel.
  Position of the accommodation
Coming from the coastal road you reach the hotel by using the small street to the centre of Drašnice along the sea (ca. 2 km distance); parking places are located in the centre ca. 80 m away from the accommodation.
The hotel was rebuilt in 2003 and it is 10 m away from the sea, 80 m from the centre of the village and it is situated in a traffic-free zone. The sunny terrace for having breakfast or dinner is directly near the sea with a nice view to the island Brač The next beach is about 50 m away from the accommodation, the other beaches are ca. 5 min. away and the port ca. 10 min.

Three different shingle bathing beaches inside this fishing village are reachable within a few steps and even in the peak season they are not overcrowded. A nice little bathing beach is located directly behind the apartments. Others are situated along the whole Makarska-Riviera, behind the southern end of Drašnice - whose water quality belongs to one of the best of the whole Mediterranean Sea. These are ideal conditions to enjoy a light-hearted bathing and holiday fun with the whole family or for two of you.
  Bathing temperatures and climate
On the coast of Dalmatia and on the islands there is a marked mediterranean climate with pleasant temperatures in spring and in autumn (ca. 22-240C) and with hot and dry summers (ca. 32-400C). The main bathing season starts from the end of May and lasts until the end of September (water temperatures 22-260C). The months April, May and November are ideal tourist seasons when everything is flourishing and turning to green, and also the months September, October until the middle of November when the summer heat is fading away and the water still shows pleasant water temperatures (ca. 20-220C).
  Sports and activity offers

Active holidaymakers can use multitudinous water sports contingencies, either with equipment brought along or by renting. In the neighbouring places like Podgora, Igrane, Tučepi and Makarska you find various providers of scooters, speed- and motorboats or diving equipments.
Others chances to do sports are offered in the vicinity: rock climbing, hiking, cycling, mountain-biking, sailing, windsurfing, diving, paragliding, waterskiing, fishing and offroad-trips.
Day trips by ship are offered in Makarska as well as natural trails in the Biokovo Nationalpark.
  Gastronomy and supplying

In Drašnice several konobas, taverns and bars are offering - according to the particular season - splendid mediterranean dishes and daily various specialities of fresh fish. Short cooking times, a lot of stewed and grilled dishes with olive oil, fresh fruits, vegetables, salads and wild growing herbs ensure that this "simple" cuisine applies to be very healthy and tasty.
Drašnice has farther its own totaly water supply from a strong natural fount that is bubbling for over 500 years constantly.
A supermarket is located ca. 10 min. from your apartment and at the boardwalk you find a picturesque kiosk where you can buy likewise food, drinks, necessities of life and essentials for your daily demand.
Bigger shops and boutiques are located in Tučepi, Podgora and especially in Makarska. Here in the markets fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily and at the port also fresh fish.
  Ports and boats
Skippers with up to middle size yachts get a landing stage in the new formed port in Drašnice, apart from that in the marina from Tučepi. Furthermore there is a hire-service for boats in the port and you find landing stages for rubber dinghies and speedboats.
  Post-office / telecommunication and money
  In Drašnice you find next to the tourist bureau with an exchange office also the post-office with a public telephone station. Internet, eMail and fax can be used after arrangement in the Hotel-Drašnice. The next automatic cash dispensers are located in Podgora and Makarska.
